First opened in 2010, Park Regis Singapore is a 202-rooms flagship hotel of Australian-based StayWell Hospitality Group in South East Asia and over SGD $3 million in renovations was completed in March 2015; featuring upgraded bedding items, a dedicated reception and a major transformation in the lobby and meeting room.

Conveniently located in the center between the entertainment hub of Clarke Quay and historic enclave of Chinatown, Park Regis Singapore sits along Merchant Road and is close to Clarke Quay MRT Station which provides easy accessibility to most of Singapore’s key attractions like Orchard Road and Sentosa Island.

The hotel is also strategically positioned within Singapore’s Central Business District – putting you right in the heart of the city’s alluring mix of great dining, shopping and attractions. If you are looking for entertainment and nightlife, head over to Boat Quay and Clarke Quay along the Singapore River, these areas have a lot to offer.

At Park Regis Singapore, the lobby leads you to Cafe Twenty3, the main dining and bar where buffet breakfast is offered to guests during the stay. Though the restaurant is not large, the food selection covers both international and Asian flavours for your breakfast needs.

The reception is located on the 3rd floor of the hotel accessible from the lobby. Check-in was quick and there was no need to wait in line for the front desk.

The guest rooms are located from the 2nd to the 7th floor and our room (Merchant Room) was assigned on the seventh floor.

All the guest rooms (four room types to choose from – Park / Merchant / Quay / Regis) at Park Regis Singapore features an open-concept design and contemporary furnishing. What I loved most about the room besides the warm and cozy ambience is the full glass panel and bay window seat, so that you can enjoy enviable views of the hotel’s swimming pool and waterfall, or the captivating city’s night life.

Fitted with a tropical Australian feel accentuated with timber accents, the well-appointed room comes with a wealth of amenities such as broadband internet and Wi-Fi access, a 42″ LCD cable TV, an Interactive Phone (IP) with IDD access, working desk, in-room safe, hair dryer, ironing kit, bath robes, slippers and a mini bar with tea and coffee making facilities – that was all that we could have ask for.

The bathroom doesn’t have a bathtub, but it has a separate room for toilet and shower, keeping the wet and dry area clean and free from humidity.

Speaking of facilities, Park Regis Singapore fares well with its stylish 25-metre outdoor lap pool set next to a cascading water feature on the 2nd floor.

The hotel also features a well-equipped fitness centre overlooking the spectacular swimming pool, a self-service Laundromat, Bondi Book Corner, and a 72-sqm meeting room for corporate needs.

Fancy a foodie tour that gets you moving and eating in a good way? Park Regis Singapore #SGInsider Heritage Food Trail will help you discover unique food spots which are easily accessible on foot.

There will be four food stops for guests to savour a variety of local delights. During the food trail, guests will also have a chance to learn about the local culture, history and stories within Park Regis’ neighbourhood.

Food stops at Chinatown include Hong Lim Market, a local hawker food centre filled with all kinds of yums such as traditional Kaya toast with kopi or teh and freshly made flaky curry puffs; Tong Heng confectionery specialising in traditional Chinese pastries and renowned for its signature diamond shaped egg tarts; a dessert stop at Mei Heong Yuen Dessert showcasing a wide range of classic Chinese desserts and tasty snow ice bowls; lastly visit a popular bak kwa specialist Lim Chee Guan and have a taste of the time-honoured tradition roast pork jerky.
