Everybody loves a good pizza! At Alt. Pizza, they do things a little differently — all signature pizzas comes in 11” inches with fresh toppings and sliced into individual portions to enjoy.
Serving only sourdough pizzas, the folks here are pretty serious about their sourdough base. Having been affectionally named, ‘Sophia’ is a sourdough starter hand-crafted from scratch and raised daily until she reaches five-year-old with so much complex flavours, ready to take on a further boost in the dough making.
Alt.‘s signature pizza dough are hand-kneaded by professionally trained artisan bakers, made daily and portioned after proofing, then pressed and hand-stretched upon order. The pizza dough is then staged for toppings that are carefully sourced locally and imported as well.
To achieve that light, air-filled base with cracking crisp exterior and chewy moist interior, the pizza dough is fire-baked over 450° on a hot stone health oven and watched closely by the skilled artisan bakers.
One of the fantastic things I found out about Alt. and its super blazing hot oven is that they can bake the pizzas in minutes. It didn’t take long for the pizzas to arrive at my table — and it was served hot, just the way I like it!
In case you’re wondering and new to the pizza brand, Alt. is a homegrown pizza chain that has been serving up impressive pizzas with well-balanced flavours since 2014. Alt. recently underwent a rebranding of its own and opened a brand new (fifth) outlet at Holland Village — good news for those staying in the west!

Choose from Alt. menu choices of signature pizzas that vary from four full-flavoured house-made sauces — Vine-ripened tomato, White Bechamel, Garlic Pesto and Hickory BBQ; all laden with fresh quality ingredients and toppings that comes in an abundance of varieties. Highlights of toppings include Calabrese-style salami, Iberico chorizo, garlic prawns, housemade beef meatballs, chicken fennel sausage and Kalamata olives.
Alt. gives customers the freedom to build their own pizzas by selecting their preferred choice of sauce (base + sauce $8), cheese ($3 each), protein ($4 each) and vegetable ($3 each). There is also meatless pizza options for vegetarians which are similarly divine.

Not sure if eating pizzas can really cure a hangover, but one thing is certain; there is nothing overly fussy going on, just simple rich ingredients and superlative sourdough base complete the package — Alt. does seriously good pizzas!
