OldTown White Coffee – Malaysia’s largest halal-certified ‘Kopi Tiam’ restaurant chain in Singapore has just debuted its first self-ordering kiosk at its latest outlet at Suntec City Mall. Customers can also pay for their orders with their face on the large-scale touch pad kiosk at this new flagship outlet.
There is a growing number of F&B brands in Singapore offering the self-ordering option, but this is the first time that OldTown White Coffee is embracing the technology and piloting their new point-of-sale system to the public at the Suntec City location.
If customers like this move, OldTown White Coffee plans to enable the technology across other locations very soon.
In an attempt to keep up with the changing market and competition, OldTown White Coffee will be reviewing its menu offerings and try to up its game.
Where the menu is concerned, old favourites such as Signature Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun, Prawn Meehoon Mee, Rendang Chicken Rice and Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken continue to be mainstay items, but there is increasing demand for a wider variety of beverage products, mostly targeting the younger audiences.
New beverage offerings to name a few include a Cold Brew coffee with seasonal flavours such as strawberry, orange and mango, Popcorn White Coffee Latte, and Coconut White Coffee Latte.
I think that OldTown White Coffee has reacted to trends by creating these new innovations as part of its new outlet campaign — will these new offerings be substantial enough to excite new customers? I hope the bets will pay off spectacularly.
