The Deli presents an assortment of delicious takeaway treats, available from 1 to 26 December 2017, while the hotel’s dining establishments prepare an array of crafted set menus and buffet spreads from 1 December to the New Year in 2018 for a guaranteed flavoursome Christmas dinner!
Specially put together by Goodwood Park Hotel’s talented culinary team, the delightful selection of Christmas goodies has always been the much-anticipated festive highlights – perfect to delight or impress at any celebration or gathering! The spotlight this year falls on a majestic newcomer – the 12 Treasures Turkey ($268 for 8 to 10 persons), a perfectly-executed dish brimming with 12 luxurious ingredients, such as roast pork, 24-head abalones, lingzhi and water chestnuts. Crafted by Master Chef Goh Chee Kong of the hotel’s Modern Sichuan and Cantonese restaurant Min Jiang at One-North, the Asian-inspired Turkey is served wrapped in lotus leaves with vegetable fried rice and Chef’s special chilli sauce.
Nothing would spell Christmas celebration better than a deluxe turkey platter – even more so when it brings you and your guests on a whirlwind gourmet tour! A whimsical celebration of versatility, Around the World in ‘Turkey’ Days ($128 for 6 persons), includes the Turkey Bulgogi Puff, Turkey Gyoza, Turkey Shepherd’s Pie and Turkey Sriracha. Other delectable new creations include Roast Turkey Roulade with Pork and Chest Stuffing, Brussels Sprouts and Turkey Gravy ($168 for 4 to 6 persons), Cold Capellini Pasta with Alaskan Crab, Ebi, Caviar and Truffle Vinaigrette ($108 for 4 persons) and popular all-time favourites such as Slow Roasted Iberico Pork Belly with Crackling, Pickled Cabbage, Apple Sauce and Pork Jus ($320 for 6 to 8 persons).
Sweeten this celebrative occasion with some charming dessert creations! This year’s Zesty Logs ($52 for 500g) features not one, but two flavours – Apple Mousse Calamansi with Chiffon Sponge and Caraibe Chocolate Orange – redolent with citrusy nuances to usher in a tropical Christmas. A tantalising creation as well as a perfect centrepiece, the celestial midnight blue Silent Night Sphere ($28 per piece) is a delicious white chocolate orb filled with macarons, Maltesers, gummy bears, marshmallows and dried cranberries when the accompanying warm chocolate is poured over. Trust the cutesy Mini Mousse-icles ($16 for 3 pieces) to top off the celebrations with pops of summery colours. The three popsicles comes in Guanaja Chocolate, Summer Berries and Yuzu mousse flavours.
Back by popular demand are the Whiskey Profiteroles Chocolate Tart ($48 for 600g) – a decadent dessert inspired by the croquembouche with choux pastry profiteroles filled with whiskey custard on a chocolate sponge base surrounded by an ‘Oreo’ crust; Merry Mosaic Cakes ($48 for 500g) – a combination of 16 cake ‘squares’ of six different flavours – Orange Chiboust, Raspberry Earl Grey, Blackcurrant, Tiramisu, Green Tea and Cheesecake and individually crowned with Christmassy decorations; and ‘Mao Shan Wang’ Durian Christmas Log Cake ($69 for 500g), a premium adaptation of the signature Goodwood D24 durian Christmas log cake. Packed with creamy ‘Mao Shan Wang’ durian goodness within layers of vanilla sponge, this treat is bound to excite all durian enthusiasts.
‘Get a taste of Spain’ this holiday season at The Carvery at Park Hotel Alexandra, Singapore’s first dedicated carvery serving all-you-can-eat premium meats.
Look forward to delectable Spanish-inspired delights such as Iberico Pork Belly Porchetta stuffed with Chorizo and Apple, Spit-roasted Chicken with Orange and Rosemary, 28-Day Dry Aged US Black Angus Prime Rib (weekends only), Roast Turkey, Catalan Seafood Stew, Buttered Brussel Sprouts, Parsnips and Carrots, Red Mullet Fish with Mojo Verde, Squid and Olive Salad, Sukalki Beef Ragu, and a Turron Trifle.
The Carvery’s Spit-Roasted Chicken is back following last year’s success and has been given a Spanish nuance this year -— Brined for 24 hours in a special herb blend, the chook is then stuffed with a generous layer of orange butter and rosemary for a mouth-watering fragrance throughout the succulent meat.
Takeaway at $38++ include roasted seasonal vegetables and Spanish style deep-fried Potatoes topped with Fresh Tomato Sauce. Add $30.00 for one bottle of red or white house wine.
THE CARVERY, PARK HOTEL ALEXANDRA
This festive season, indulge in Bakerzin’s world of sweet, pastries and savoury delights. Share the joy of festive takeaways and Christmas bakes with your family and love ones — Feast on a well-polished Dunken Stuffing with pistachios (520g – $29.91), a classic Shepherd’s Pie with harmonious blend of seasoned perfect sweet teriyaki chicken chunks (700g – $26.17), or try Gochujang Capon Chicken (1.8kg – $42.99), featuring the Asian remix of a western tradition dish dressed in Korean spicy chilli paste and marinated overnight.
