Go Healthy with Green Croft’s Salads and more..

There are many salad options in Singapore but I believe that what matters more is the freshness and quality of the ingredients that goes into my salad.

Green Croft is no stranger to the working crowd who are around Mapletree Business City, Fusionopolis or Tai Seng area. Targeted to meet the increasing demand for health and wholesome food, Green Croft has just about the right balance for you.

Check out the menu at the Fusionopolis outlet. For the Supreme option, which is a choice of 3 proteins, 1 carb and 4 toppings, is only going to cost you $14.50. Comparing to its neighbours (won’t say who), you can save quite a lot of money over time.

Managed to take a sneak peek of their ingredients. Even on a Saturday, everything is well-stocked and made me feel like just scooping right off the metal containers! Sauces are packed in takeaway boxes, all ready for take-outs.

Before I move on to get you hungry, let’s get your stomach cleansed first. The detox drinks here are made in-house and have three different effects- Fat Reducer, Slim Trim and Skin Care. And best of all, each goes at $3. I literally had two of these, because detox had never felt so tasty before!

Choose from a range of 10 types of proteins, 8 types of carbs, 20 types of toppings and 12 different dressings.

Who says salads have to be eaten cold? Most salads are except for maybe the protein selections. But what is unique to Green Croft is their brown rice as well as proteins such as tandoori chicken, grilled salmon, seafood sambal and grilled beef which are served warm. I’m impressed at some of the ingredients which they have that many salad stops I have been to do not.

As most of the proteins here are cooked sous-vide way, the juiciness and nutrients are ensured in the meats. For the health-conscious, each ingredient is labelled with the calorie tag so you can be sure of what goes into your body with no regrets. The colours and the crisp of the greens just goes to show much the owners care about the freshness.

A little bit about their carbs, Cous-Cous is a popular option at Green Croft and it goes well with the roasted chicken that I had. Although I felt that the chicken was a tad bland if eaten with minimal or no dressing. Mashed potato and sweet potato would be great to go with those meats. Yummy!

Craving for a sweet ending or rewarding yourself after a healthy main course, go for their Creme Brûlée ($3.50). Conscious effort is also put into the making of this healthier version of desserts so that one’s effort does not go to waste.

For diners who are not big on salads, they can feast on Green Croft’s special creations such as  Sambal Crabmeat Pasta and Hot Tomato Udon. We were told these are popular amongst the regulars there. Can’t wait to try them!
