Takujo Japanese Dining at Emporium Shokuhin Debuts New Spring Menu

Spring has sprung at Takujo Japanese Dining at Emporium Shokuhin with the debut of new set menu for dinner and including seasonal menu items, each showcasing fresh spring flavours of the Sakura season.

Twelve new dishes appear on the Sakura Spring Seasonal menu where diners can dive into and savour quality Japanese cuisine like the white-fleshed Shiromi Ponzu, lightly flamed mackerel sashimi Shime Saba, Japan’s bioluminescent firefly squid Hotaru Ika dipped in sweet miso and several other Japanese delicacies.

Takujo Japanese Dining has launched 4 set dinner menu and a Spring menu that showcase the best of Japanese seasonal produce. Chow down the best value meal with Takujo 8-course Signature Dinner Set, priced at $128++ per person include signature must-have like the indisputable A5 Miyazaki Wagyu beef, Hokkaido scallops (Hotate Furai), Bluefin Tuna (Hon Maguro), Ehime Yellowtail (Hamachi Kama) and more.

The Sakura 8-course Dinner Set ($98++ per person) is another typical Japanese set meal that comprises premium items like a duo of French Oysters, 8-hour braised black pork belly (Kurobuta Kakuni), and the Grilled black cod (Gindara Saikyo) served with Niigata rice. Both dinner sets are inclusive of one dessert.

Fans of Sukiyaki and Shabu-Shabu will definitely delight in Takujo’s Divine Set Dinner.

Priced at only $78++ per person, diners can choose the type of meat or seafood for their main course – range from US Wagyu Beef MBS 8-9 (150g) and A5 Miyazaki Ribeye (150g) to Kurobuta Pork Belly (200g), Sashimi grade Sea Bream slices (200g) and Whole live lobster.

The Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu 6-course Dinner Sets ($78++ per person) come with tantalising starters include a Steamed Japanese egg custard with salmon roe (Ikura Chawanmushi), a choice of seafood – Japanese Mackerel sashimi (Flamed Shime Saba 5 pcs) with ginger oroshi and wasabi or Seared Seabream (Shiromi Ponzu 5 pcs) with shoyu-ponzu radish, fresh selection of seasonal vegetables from Ehime Prefecture, and a choice of premium Niigata rice or handcut Inaniwa Udon, complete with a dessert of the day – Tofu cheesecake or ice cream.

The Takujo Sakura Spring Seasonal Menu boasts a selection of 12 different appetisers and main courses. Entrees include an interesting take on the Sea Urchin (Uni) featuring AA+ grade Hokkaido Uni wrapped in Shiso leaf and then deep fried to perfection ($21++) and Uni wrapped in Hokkaido Squid ($18++ for 3 pcs).

Diners who can’t get enough of the Flamed Shime Saba ($16++) and Seared Shiromi Ponzu ($14) can order additional from the a la carte small bites menu. The most unique offering on the menu – Firefly Squid with Sweet Miso (Hotaru Ika $9++) will satisfy the most sophisticated palate.

Signature main courses from the Takujo Sakura Spring Seasonal Menu include a whole live Flounder (Hirame $98++) served in tempura style is good for sharing between 3 to 4 person. Other offerings include Live lobster with Niigata rice in savoury broth (Ise Ebi Chazuke $18++), Firefly Squid with Niigata rice in claypot ($38++) and A5 Miyazaki Beef Garlic Rice (Wagyu Yakimeshi $18++).

True sashimi aficionados will appreciate the freshness found in the selection of fishes and the outstanding quality of Takujo Decadent Donburi ($55++) – Premium Otoro, Chutoro, Uni, Negitoro and Ikura served with Niigata rice.
