In a nutshell: Established in 1882, Caffé Vergnano is a global coffee chain with a long and prestigious history. It is also known for producing the world’s finest Italian coffee brews. The legendary Caffe Vergnano has opened its 100th outlet at South Beach Avenue, offering coffee connoisseurs an authentic taste of Italian espresso.

Besides coffee, Caffe Vergnano also serves small bites and main courses to satisfy the hungers of the customers. Coffee lovers can take it one step further by participating in latte art workshops and coffee making sessions in Accademia Vergnano.

In a nutshell: Originated from Australia, Dimbulah Coffee serves only fine Arabica beans grown on their own Dimbulah Mountain Estate plantation in Northern Queensland. The coffee is rich with a sweet chocolate-caramel body and a long finish on the palate.

In a nutshell: Alchemist Beer Lab is Asia’s first and only beer infusion bar, which houses 16 sophisticated beer infusion towers that are new to the beer scene. This interestingly unique concept is brought to you by the same people behind microbrewery-pub Little Island Brewing Co. at Changi Village.

Alchemist Beer Lab takes craft brews to the next level by introducing special and exclusive flavours like Obama – a stout that’s been infused with toasted marshmallows, vanilla pods and mint leaves; Passionista – a well balanced and refreshing cider with passionfruit and duku (a tropical fruit in South East Asia).

The food here is pretty much straightforward European-style bar food, but done really well by Executive Chef John Edwards who has spent over 20 years working in the kitchen abroad countries include Australia, New Zealand, Mauritius, Malaysia and Singapore.

In a nutshell: Quaich Bar, pronounced as ‘Quake’ bar is one of the best spots in the city for whiskies. This whisky institution boasts an impressive collection of over 500 different labels with 95% of them being Scottish – this cozy watering hole is the go-to place for serious whiskey connoisseurs and collectors.

In a nutshell: Once used as a military armoury to store weapons in the 1960s, the facility space has been revamped and turned into a dining establishment, aptly named The Armoury. The contemporary gastropub offers eight international craft beers and five branded beers on tap, as well as other crowd pleasers including a comprehensive wine list.

The array of craft ales on offer protrude from the tiled wall behind the bar counter with intriguing designs around the taps.
