Antoinette‘s Christmas Collection 2016 features much-raved and sought-after creations as well as traditional cakes and Christmas hampers.
The highlight for this year’s Antoinette Christmas Collection is this savoury cake creation by Chef Pang – the Hivernette ($75). A four-layered house-baked honey farm bread drizzled with olive oil, spread with mustard butter and tomato jam as well as delicious surprise within each layer.
The ‘cake’ is then coated with a pretty pink beetroot cream cheese Chantilly, adorned with a medley of roasted vegetables like broccoli, onion, kale, cauliflower, carrot and a sprinkle of chives and mustard seeds.

- First layer – Wild mushroom ragout
- Second layer – caramelised onions and cornichons
- Third layer – boeuf bourguignon (Wagyu beef brisket braised in red wine)
Essentially a four-layered ‘sandwich’ disguising as a cake. Bring this to your Christmas parties and it will definitely be the talk of the party!
Fraisier ($55/$110), Antoinette’s take on the traditional French pain de gênes (French almond cake), crowned with fresh, juicy Japanese Chitose strawberries. The almond sponge cake is drizzled with raspberry eau de vie (brandy), filled with pistachio crème mousseline and Chitose strawberries, topped with smooth vanilla Chantilly and more Chitose strawberries.
Red Rosette ($150) – Who needs a Christmas tree or a bouquet of flowers when you can have it in cake-form and eat it too!
The stunning rosette swirls are piped using dark chocolate chantilly with edible red cocoa spray.
Slice the cake into half to reveal layers of chocolate cake with crunchy almond nougatine, orange confit in chocolate ganache. A cake that looks and tastes good too!
Jasmine Tea Chiffon Cake ($20) – Though this chiffon cake is lacking in the looks department, it is one of my favourites from the Christmas collection. Soft and fluffy chiffon cake infused with Jasmine tea. So light and fragrant, I think I can eat a few slices at one go.
What’s Christmas without log cakes? With that in mind, Antoinette has launched two new log cakes featuring the top two favourite flavours from its latest cake collection.
Superlova Logcake ($55/$110) – Being a huge fan of Ispahan (rose-lychee-raspberry) desserts, the Superlova stole my heart the first time I tried it. The logcake version was my third time having it and it is still as good as the first time!
A pretty pink cake with rose petal mousse, rose finger sponge, yuzu cream, lychee and raspberry jelly within and adorned with baby macarons, marshmallows and coral sponge.
Marronette Logcake ($50/$100) – Chestnut cake layered with chestnut crème chantilly infused with Myer’s dark rum and orange confiture, adorned with black sugar crumble, vanilla crème Chantilly and candied chestnut.
A tray of popular Fetish Chocolat items – (left to right) Almond butter rusk enrobed in chocolate ($2.50), White chocolate matcha with smoked macadamia ($12/120g), Chocolate rice crispies with candied orange and meringue clusters ($12), The Queen’s Salted Egg Yolk Truffle ($28 for 9 pcs) and Crispy bacon enrobed in dark chocolate ($15).
My favourite got to be the Crispy Bacon ($15) enrobed in Equatoriale 55% dark chocolate. Crispy, sweet, salty and smoky. It’s every bacon-chocolate lover’s dream come true!
Exclusive new macaron flavours like Trufflette, Winter, Superlova and Marronette. Other than log cakes, both the Superlova and Marronette are transformed into macarons as well! However, I’ll pick Trufflette and Winter anytime!
Trufflette ($3.50/pc, $19 for 6 pcs) – White chocolate cream with truffle and hazelnut almond feullitine in between crisp and chewy macaron shells. If you like truffle, you got to try this!
Winter ($3.50/pc, $19 for 6 pcs) – Love peanut butter and jelly? If yes, you can’t miss this! Macaron shells piped with vanilla cream cheese with raspberry jelly and peanut caramel. So so so good!
Rudolph ($70), the cutest edible Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer made entirely with chocolate.
With its phenomenal range of Christmas cakes, desserts and treats, Antoinette is the place you should look out for if you are ordering sweet treats for your Christmas parties!
