It’s all about freshness at Sen of Japan!
Located between the ArtScience Museum and Louis Vuitton at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Sen of Japan – a mid range Japanese eatery and bar gets plenty of nods; in terms of ambience, service, pricing and cuisine. Not super high end, but carefully designed with elegant touches of colours is just good enough to make Sen of Japan stand out.
The cozy space is accompanied by stunning views of the Singapore skyline, which makes dining at Sen of Japan an unique and incredible experience.
The cuisine is relished for freshness and purity, hence the name ‘Sen’ means fresh in Japanese.
What’s Good at Sen of Japan
The menu at Sen of Japan is wide-reaching, showcasing a parade of all the usual suspects; from sushi, yakitori and tempura to salads, sashimi, meats and seafood.
Do your ordering from your favourite sections (e.g. Nigiri, Maki) – you can get to taste some of the most delicately made and fresh-tasting dishes Sen of Japan has to offer.
The Special Sashimi Platter features two pieces each of salmon (sake), amberjack (kanpachi), Japanese amberjack (hamachi), horse mackerel (aji), squid (ika), omelette (tamago) and other delights such as salmon roe (ikura) and sea urchin (uni). The freshness of the fish is superb throughout – boasting that perfect sweetness and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
The cooked dishes are handled with an equal competence, from the beautifully light and well-marinated Black Cod Soy to the highly appetizing Ikura Uni Chawanmushi, execution is excellent across the board.
Sen of Japan also offers a selection of set lunch specials, donburi and ramen set. The chef’s choice mouth-watering A5 Hokkaido Snow Beef Don will certainly do much justice to your wallet.
