Singapore Restaurant Week 2016 – Mitzo Set Lunch & Dinner

There’s nothing like a quick and easy to drink aperitiff cocktail to kick start your feasting. This vodka-based Chinese Whisperer cocktail takes a spicy turn with fresh ginger and a fruity splash of lime juice, cranberry juice and lychee syrup to stimulate your appetitie.


It’s impossible to go wrong with Mitzo Signatures – Deep fried Soft Shell Crab with Curry Floss and Mitzo Special Barbecued Pork.


The soft shell crabs are fried to a light crisp and finished with a generous scattering of curry floss. You know you’re lucky enough, when you see Mitzo Special Barbecue Pork on the set menu.

A good ratio of fat and meat keeps the charsiew moist and tender, boasting a beautifully charred texture from the caramelisation of sugar coat – three slices is never enough!

Greediness may lead you to order an additional plate of the marvelous charsiew, but you will be rolling out the door with no regrets.


The Abalone red date soup with chicken and aged yellow cucumber is served before the main course, which may aid in cleansing your palate and great to have as a nourishing supplement.


The braised half Boston lobster with noodles in mildly spicy cumin will quickly fill you up without filling you out. It is paired with a glass of Asian Redux – an Asian version of a margarita with a clean savoury twist using Asian herbs and spices accompanied with a bubbling sea salt foam.

Ingredients used for crafting this Asian cocktail include Ocho Blanco Tequila, Canton Ginger Liqueur, fresh basil, kaffir lime leaves, chilli, ginger and lemongrass syrup.


Lastly, finish things up with a Chilled almond longan tea topped off with delicate shavings of bird nest. This light and refreshing dessert will leave you feeling healthy and satisfied.
