Din Tai Fung is entering the home chef market for the first time, by launching three most popular sauces in ready-to-eat format. The carefully crafted range of sauces will feature Taiwan Chilli Oil, Fragrant Chilli Sauce and Premium XO Sauce – all made in Taiwan to ensure authenticity and taste.
The iconic sauces have been developed to serve two purposes – (1.) Further boost the brand in Singapore; (2.) Allow discerning guests to enjoy the same dining experience as they would at any Din Tai Fung restaurants and feel like they own a piece of its culinary legacy.
To support the launch, Chef Cheng Chang from Din Tai Fung shared media insights on culinary excellence and hands-on experience in whipping up Din Tai Fung‘s recipe dishes. The culinary workshop was held at Din Tai Fung‘s latest outlet at The Centrepoint on 13 October 2016.
Din Tai Fung will be releasing a series of recipe videos on its dedicated Facebook channel. The recipe videos have been created to inspire home chefs to bring cooking to life through Din Tai Fung flavours.
The launch is backed with in-store promotions and online campaigns. Guests can bring home a limited edition Premium Taiwan Sauces Recipe Collection* – available for retail at $4.80 nett, or comes complimentary with purchase of any two premium Taiwan sauces, while stocks last.
Spice Up Your Home Meals – Din Tai Fung Premium Taiwan Sauces
Din Tai Fung Premium Taiwan sauces will be retailed in glass jars (160g) – each sauce is made from premium ingredients and specially crafted to showcase the legacy of Taiwan’s rich and authentic flavours.
The Din Tai Fung Taiwan Chilli Oil ($11 nett / 160g jar) comprises of chillies, spring onions, garlic and ginger in the blend. Adds a sweet heat and flavour to stir-fries, and can be used as a dipping sauce or marinade. It is trans-fat free, does not contain added salt or sugar and made suitable for vegetarians.
The Din Tai Fung Fragrant Chili Sauce ($11 nett / 170g jar) strikes the perfect balance of mildly spicy chilli with shallots, onions and Sichuan peppers in a robustly flavourful sauce.
It is preservative-free and uses non-GMO (genetically modified organism) soy beans. Makes an ideal condiment for dressing, enhances flavour and adds an attractive colour to marinades or glazes for grilled food or other entrees.
The Fragrant Chilli Sauce is also suitable for vegetarians.
Din Tai Fung Premium XO Sauce ($33.90 nett / 160g jar), the brand’s signature sauce and one of the most exquisite offerings for the home cook spares no expense in its preparation and composition as quality dried scallops and shrimps, shrimp roe, flounder and other specially selected ingredients undergo an elaborate cooking process over slow fire to bring out their full-bodied flavours.
It adds a savoury flavour with heightened umami and exciting notes that make every dish sing.
