Oriole Coffee + Bar Introduces Coffee Tasting Bar And New Southern American Dishes

Located on the ground level of Pan Pacific Serviced Suites, just a few strides away from 313@Somerset, the very cool and chic café Oriole Coffee + Bar welcomes Randy Torres as its new group Head Chef.

Trained and certified by Le Cordon Bleu, Texas-borned Randy is on a mission to showcase the techniques of French culinary with an strong emphasis on Southern American cuisine.

Savour new breakfast champions like Jumbo Breakfast Burrito ($16), Humble Baked Egg Skillet ($16) served from 8am to 6pm and delightful mains like the Country Fried Steak ($22), Fish Tacos ($20) and Espresso-rubbed Rack of Lamb ($32).

Pair the food with new drinks, such as Haute Chocolate ($8) and Death Cream ($9) – a sweet, delicious concoction of vanilla beans, espresso and cream.

Ending the meal on a sweet note with the Oriole Coffee Cake ($14), a coffee-textured cake infused with Oriole’s signature house blends, attempts to warm hearts with its soft, moist texture. The cake is served with chocolate crunch sprinkles, chocolate jelly, crushed meringue and espresso crème anglaise core.


Oriole Coffee + Bar also dedicated a new coffee tasting bar to provide coffee lovers an intriguing experience of coffee science, as well as striking up a conversation with the barista to better appreciate coffee and its origin.

If you are trying to appreciate the types of coffee you aren’t too familiar with, the best introduction is a Tasting Flight ($12) – comprising a single shot espresso, an espresso with milk (cappucino) and a coffee shot (pourover).

As for the coffee snobs, you probably will have no qualms when you see new coffee brewing gadgets showing up at Oriole Coffee + Bar and fully understand how coffee brewing works and how brewing equipment differs.
