Dazzling Cafe X Sweety Tweety

“I tawt I taw a puddy tat!”

The iconic animated yellow canary from my childhood years had flown to Dazzling Cafe last Monday, 14 December 2015  just in time for the launch of DAZZLING CAFÉ X SWEETY TWEETY, a collaboration between Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Dazzling Cafe.

Decked out in Tweety-themed decor, the cafe will be serving Tweety-inspired dishes on top of their original menu for the next two months.

The launch of DAZZLING CAFÉ X SWEETY TWEETY were graced by Executive Director of Dazzling Café Singapore, Ms Serene Tan; Mediacorp artiste, Shane Pow; Managing Director, Greater China, SE Asia and India, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Ms Bianca Lee; and of course, Tweety!

After the toast-cutting session, the chef of Dazzling Cafe did a demonstration on how to assemble the Tweety Lava Toast.

An overview of what you can expect from the Sweety Tweety menu.

Tweety Sweet Valentine ($7) – A fruity glass of iced strawberry lychee tea. A little too sweet for my liking but once the ice melts, it is quite refreshing.

Tweety Mocha Slushie ($9) – This iced blended chocolate with a hint of coffee is perfect for hot weather. Do note that the mocha slushie pictured above is not the actual serving.

My pick would be the Sweety Tweety Latte ($7). Though a decent cup of coffee, I appreciate the fact that there is latte art beneath the stenciled Tweety.

Tweety Mocha Slushie ($9), Tweety Sweet Valentine ($7) and Tweety Mac & Cheese ($22.90).

Tweety Mac & Cheese ($22.90) – A creamy plate of elbows topped with cheese, mushrooms and parmesan shards. More creamy instead of gooey and cheesy like how it should be. Could do with more cheese though. I prefer my mac & cheese with lots of cheese.

Tweety Profiteroles ($8.90) – Choux au craquelin generously filled with pastry cream, lightly dusted with snow powder and topped with crushed pistachio.

Tweety Lava Chocolate Crispy Toast ($14.90) – A twist to the cafe’s signature lava toast. Not exactly a toast but panko crusted fried bread with supposedly molten chocolate core; adorned with dollops of mango cream, kiwi, strawberries, chocolate wafer rolls and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Somehow, I like this better than their honey toast.

Tweety Biscotti Caramel Tea Set ($10.90) – Pistachio and cranberry biscotti served with a pot of Hediard caramel tea. Each set comes with additional teabags, milk and sugar. Good for people who are feeling peckish yet don’t want something too heavy.

Limited edition Tweety merchandise such as umbrella and drinking glass will also be available.
