From now till 31st December 2015, you can enjoy a Christmas feast at the comfort of your own home with just a click at www.morganfields.com.sg/xmastakeaway. Alternatively, you can order in-store or through phone at +65 8552 5478. However, there will be a 10% discount if you order online. Just place your orders 3 days in advance and have your orders delivered for a mere fee of $25.
There is always the option to dine-in at the two Morganfield’s outlets – Suntec City and The Star Vista.
Let the Christmas feast begin with a glass of White Christmas Sangria ($16.90) and light bites. A refreshing tipple of white wine, peach puree, diced green apples and oranges.
If alcohol’s not your thing, try the Red Christmas Cooler ($8.90), a fruity mix of lemon, watermelon and cranberry juice.
Beer Candied Bacon ($9.90) – Bacon and booze, a match made in heaven. Strips of bacon glazed with Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar beer. Smoky, sweet and salty, the candied bacon strips reminded me of bak kwa. So addictive, I can’t stop eating them.
Pork Trio ($15.90) – A basket of popcorn pork, sliced pork bratwurst and more beer candied bacon. Great for sharing. Best paired with a pint of beer like Santa’s Big Mug ($25.90), a smooth mix of American craft beer and Kronenbourg Blanc in a 1-litre frosty mug.
Bourbon Marmalade Glazed Leg of Ham ($168.90 for 4-5kg) – Available for takeaway only, this humongous leg of ham with bourbon marmalade glaze impresses with its sweet and smoky flavours.
Crackling Pork Roast ($38.90 for 1kg) -Traditional favourite braised and roasted, resulting in tender, succulent meat with crisp, golden-brown crackling. Available for takeaway only.
Roast Chicken ($32.90 for 1.4kg) – A good alternative for those who don’t like turkey. This golden-brown succulent chicken is stuffed with rosemary, onions, celery and carrots and roasted. Each order comes with roasted potatoes. Available for takeaway only.
Morganfield’s signature dish – the Sticky Bones. Tried their seasonal ribs – Christmas Hazelnut Sticky Bones ($29.90 for half slab, $45.90 for full slab) and Christmas Cranberry Sticky Bones ($29.90 for half slab, $45.90 for full slab). Like the beer candied bacon, the former was glazed with Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar beer, resulting in a dark, caramelized coating on the ribs. The latter, however, was coated with a fruity, zesty sweet sauce made with cranberries.
Morgan’s Christmas Feast ($149.90) -Good for people who want a little bit of everything. This huge Christmas platter include half slab Christmas Hazelnut Sticky Bones, half slab of Christmas Cranberry Sticky Bones, Crackling Pork Roast (400g), Sausages (3pcs), Gammon Ham Slices (200g) and Turkey Breast Ham Slices (200g). Comes with 6 sides – Potato Gratin, Roasted Cauliflower, Glazed Carrots, Garden Salad, Corn on Cob and Corn Bread. Additional top-up of the sides at $5.90 each. Available for both dine-in and takeaway.
