Tenkaichi is an all-you-can-eat and self service Japanese BBQ restaurant for the serious meat lovers. The new restaurant space at Marina Square, compared to its former location at Keypoint Beach Road is much bigger, brighter and offers the advantage of alfresco dining with a good view of the promenade at Esplanade.
The restaurant interior is a casual and minimalist setting with textured white walls, brown tables & chairs and flooring. The barbecue grills are built in the table, allowing customers to grill the meat easily on the surface without getting all the mess.
On the barbecue menu is a wide range of meats ranging from beef, lamb, chicken, pork and even seafood. Customers can enjoy an unlimited serving of meats and cuts such as boneless short ribs, outside skirt, intercostal muscle, collar and more. A selection of seafood like prawns, squid, mackerel, sea bream and capellini fish are also available for grill.
For those who like their sashimi, Tenkaichi offers three kinds of fish – Norwegian Salmon (Shake Sashimi), Fresh Tuna (Maguro Sashimi) and Sea Bream (Tai Sashimi).
Upgrade from deluxe BBQ to premium BBQ to enjoy more selection of sashimi such as White Tuna (Shiro Maguro Sashimi), Octopus (Tako Sashimi), Mackerel (Shime Saba Sashimi), and including Wagyu beef sashimi, marinated Wagyu beef with egg yolk (Beef Yukke) and lightly seared Wagyu beef sashimi (Wagyu Tataki).
Premium BBQ diners get to indulge in all the Wagyu beef meat, in addition to the items on the deluxe menu. The Wagyu beef must order dishes are the Wagyu beef short rib (Wagyu Karubi), Wagyu beef rib eye cap (Wagyu Rosu), Wagyu beef rib intercostal (Wagyu Nakaochi Karubi) and the Wagyu beef ox tongue (Wagyu Tan).
Note: Above picture of the Sashimi on Ice is plated for illustration purpose. Standard orders will be served on plates.
A self-service buffet line of deep-fried dishes and cooked dishes such as teriyaki chicken, chawanmushi, Japanese omelette, sushi rolls, takoyaki and DIY salad corner and fruits are available for diners to enjoy. Bottomless soft drinks, hot and iced coffee and tea are also free to enjoy with an additional $5 top up to your meal.
Customers can opt for an a la carte meal as prices for individual dishes are indicated on the menu. However, I doubt you would want to pay the bill and missed out many of the premium items. Therefore, having the buffet is definitely the way to go at Tenkaichi.
