Meat-free diet is no longer a boring affair, but flavor-packed with all the goodness and is less expensive than you may expect. ELEMEN, a meat-free restaurant located at Millennia Walk serves up healthy, wholesome and delicious meals with great quality and freshness at pocket-friendly prices.
There are only two types of course menu where you can customise your meal, starting from salads or soup, to mains, desserts and drinks. The 5-course menu ($23.80++) available only during lunch on weekdays, allows you to select your choice of meat-free dishes from the menu.
If you have a hearty appetite, you can go for the 8-course menu ($32.80++) available all-day, include an additional choice of soup, Rosemary breadsticks and an Apple Cider.
Appetiser is served at the first-course of your meal. Featured starters may subject to change depending on seasonality.
Second-course was the top-rated Mushroom Salad, made with King Oyster Mushroom tossed in house-made vinaigrette dressing. Other salad options include Tropical Fruit Salad, Quinoa Salad and Avocado Salad.
Alternatively, soup dishes such as Maca Soup, Cream of Pumpkin Soup, Fresh Burdock Roots with Monk Fruits and Wild Mushroom Cream Soup with Truffle Oil are available.
Main was the three-course, the obvious choice has to be the Mushroom Risotto with Black Truffle, which was earthy in flavours and comforting to the soul. ELEMEN serve a wide array of main dishes from 3 types of cuisine – Western, Japanese and Chinese style.
Popular choices include Braised Golden-Brown Pumpkin with Glutinous Rice in Hot Stone, Wild Mushroom and White Truffle Pizza, Tempura Tofu with Strawberry Rice Roll and Chilled Japanese Wheat Noodles.
Desserts make up the fourth-choice, this include the Panna Cotta with Raspberry Sauce, Osmanthus Flower with Grass Jelly, Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream, or the Chilled Coconut Puree, the perfect refreshment in the hot weather.
Last but not least, a cup of hot Sea Salt Coffee or Roselle Tea completes the fifth-course of the meal. I decided to go for a cold drink, had the Iced Lychee Green Tea which was equally refreshing as the dessert.
Whether you’re a fully-fledged vegetarian, or simply want to eat a little lesser of meat, you don’t have to sacrifice flavor or variety by going on a strict vegetarian diet.
