Compact, Comprehensive, yet Specialised
The Flavours of the World food fair covers the essential sectors of the food industry and is divided into specialised sectors such as Meat & Poultry (Beef), Seafood (Sashimi), Confectionary (Snacks), Beverages (Wine, Beer, Ciders), Groceries, Dairy and more.
Over 15 countries are represented at the event fair with several products being launched here for for the first time. A significant part of the event fair is taken up by the international wine purveyors. There is a wide selection of wine from Australia, French to America; and wine experts (representatives) from the respective regions and countries are present to provide insights and share useful knowledge about wine appreciation.
New and exclusive alcoholic beverages like the Grolsch Premium Lager ($7.50) from Nederland is ideal for beer drinkers looking for the bold and unique flavour. Fans of the Swedish Koppaberg Cider ($8.00) can now find a refreshing range of apple, pear and fruit ciders at Cold Storage. Another Swedish favourite would be the Rekodelig Strawberry-lime cider ($7.70) which has a unique and refreshing flavour combination, best enjoyed over ice with fresh mint leaves or real strawberries and lime wedges for the additional zesty experience.
The most essential highlight of the event fair is none other than food, itself. Visitors can enjoy a variety of freshly prepared gourmet food at a bargained price. I have put up below the menu and prices of the gourmet food, as well as some wine and beer to go.

What aroused my interest the most, other than the food and snacks section was actually the Nescafe Barista Instant Coffee station. We all love barista style coffee for that intense aroma and I was presented to a tasting cup of roasted coffee using Nescafe’s barista style coffee and coffee machine. Available previously only in Japan, customers can enjoy five types of coffee starting with black coffee, to the espresso-type and even cafe latte is made possible with just one touch of the coffee machine buttons.
Take the chance to visit the event fair before 9 August 2015, and bring home the Nescafe Barista Instant Coffee Machine for FREE (worth $149) when you purchase five tins of the Nestle Gold Blend (Intense) Barista Style, each tin at $17.90.
