In celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year, Tomo Izakaya is introducing specially curated Japanese-inspired Chinese New Year set menus, offering patrons a different dining experience.
Unlike the usual set courses offered in restaurants, the Chinese New Year set menus at Tomo Izakaya features at least eight course authentic Japanese dishes which are meant to be shared among friends and family. All the sets come with appetizer, yu sheng, grilled dish, karaage items, rice dish, soup and dessert, as well as sake for tossing and pairing. This conviviality sets an izakaya apart from ordinary Japanese restaurants.
- Sake – Iwai Sake Tamano Hikari (300ml)
- Appetiser – Simmered duck, Unagi with cucumber, Edamame, Steamed chicken with kimchi flavour rolled in rice paper
- Yu Sheng – Salmon and white meat fish
- Grilled DIsh – Grilled Marinated cod fish with sweet miso, grilled Japanese squid
- Deep Fried 1 – Deep fried shredded vegetables with sakura prawn tempura style
- Deep Fried 2 – Deep fried white meat fish with Japanese thick sauce yuzu flavour
- Rice Dish – Deep fried soft shell crab roll
- Soup – Clam Miso Soup
- Dessert – Hokkaido Dessert Plate
- Sake – Iwai Sake Tamano Hikari (720ml)
- Appetiser – Simmered duck, Unagi with cucumber, Marinated octopus wasabi, Edamame and Deep fried baby river prawn

- Grilled Dish – Grilled Lobster with walnuts miso sauce
- Deep Fried 1 – Deep fried soft shell crab with salad
- Deep Fried 2 – Deep fried (whole) white meat fish with Japanese thick sauce yuzu flavour
- Braised Dish – Tenderly braised pork soft rib bone with Japanese rice cake
- Rice Dish – Japanese Tuna sushi (Toro, Chutoro, Red Meat)
- Soup – Prawn Miso Soup
- Dessert – Hokkaido Dessert Plate
- Sake – Iwai Sake Tamano Hikari (720ml x 2 bottles)
- Appetiser – Simmered duck, Unagi with cucumber, Marinated octopus wasabi, Edamame and Deep fried baby river prawn

- Grilled Dish – Grilled king prawn with spicy cod roe mayo
- Deep Fried 1 – Deep fried sea urchin rolled in seaweed
- Deep Fried 2 – Deep fried (whole) white meat fish with Japanese thick sauce yuzu flavour
